We are looking for an experienced Recruitment and Talent Advisor who will be responsible for the talent management lifecycle across the organisation.

Nexus Inc is an NDIS registered, not for profit organisation. We employ approximately 500 staff who provide support and development opportunities for people who require physical, social, and psychological supports.
Nexus Inc. supports clients throughout Southern and North-West Tasmania.
Required Skills and Personal Attributes

- Skills in working with operational managers to forecast recruitment needs and supporting them to upskill existing staff
- Ability to develop proactive and creative approaches to sourcing and attracting talent including use of social media to find talent and build networks

- Resilient, adaptable and an effective change agent
- Previous experience working in the not-for-profit sector in Disability Services Provider organisations is desirable
Your Role as a Recruitment and Talent Advisor
As the Recruitment and Talent Advisor your role will include:
- Coordination of end-to-end recruitment for operational and corporate positions.
- Provision of advice to Hiring Managers on forecasting and recruitment strategies.
- Sourcing, shortlisting and phone screening of applicants.
- Assisting with assessment centres and group interviews.
- Ensuring all candidates comply with NDIS and employment requirements.
- Preparing and distributing employment contracts and on-boarding forms in a timely and efficient manner.
- Undertaking reference checks.
- Overseeing the onboarding process of the candidates.
- Maintaining active talent pools of potential candidates.
- Building positive and proactive stakeholder and applicant relationships
- Participating at networking events and career expos.
- Utilising multiple and contemporary sourcing strategies in order to build to build talent pipelines, inclusive of government employment initiative based programs , jobs hubs and workforce agencies

- Demonstrating personal drive and integrity: Demonstrated capacity to work effectively, both independently and part of a team: proven ability to work under pressure; ability to provide impartial and timely advice and maintain perseverance and positivity in challenging situations.
- Communicate with influence: High level oral and written communication skills, enabling the articulate and persuasive presentation of ideas, demonstrated consultation and negotiation skills, and the ability to anticipate stakeholder positions to proactively collaborate accordingly.
- Strong ICT Skills: Knowledge of Microsoft 365 suite of products, with an ability to utilise Microsoft Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Outlook, SharePoint and Viva Engage.
- Strong community engagement: Experience engaging in various cohorts within the community to build networks and enhance community engagement to the disability sector.
Qualifications and experience
- Tertiary and/Diploma level qualifications in business, human resources or a related discipline (desirable)
- A minimum of 3 years in a human resources/recruitment role (essential)
Working in the disability sector means you will also need the following:
- Current National Police Check (no more than 6 months old)
- Current Working with Vulnerable People Card (with an NDIS endorsement/employment type)
- Unrestricted Tasmanian Driver’s license
- Certificate of full Covid19 vaccination (in-line with government requirements).
Note: A pre-employment physical will be required for this role (including drug and alcohol testing).
