The Role

The Talent Acquisition Advisor reports to the Talent Acquisition and Pathways Manager and sits in our Employee Experience Team who lead the recruitment, onboarding, remuneration, benefits, career pathways and performance cycle of our workforce.

Some of the things you’ll work on include:

• Partnering with hiring managers to understand hiring needs and provide guidance on effective recruitment strategies.
• Identifying, sourcing and selecting quality candidates through a variety of proactive talent generation strategies.
• Oversee, organise and conduct selection processes including interviews and other relevant candidate assessments.
• Manage the end-to-end candidate journey to ensure a positive experience is achieved.
• Co-ordinating and scheduling interviews with hiring managers and provide feedback on candidate suitability.
• Conduct reference and background checks on selected candidates, including facilitation of pre-employment screening.

What we’re looking for

We think there are transferable skills that can lead to success in this role so even if you don’t think you meet all the criteria, we still want you to apply. The below experience will be helpful:

• Exposure to end-to-end recruiting processes that include resume review, phone screening, interviews, and - reference checking (we currently use Referoo).
• Strong organisation and time management skills with the ability to manage multiple priorities.
• The ability to give candidates a positive and humanistic experience when engaging and nurturing them through a recruitment process.
• Capability to build effective stakeholder relationships across the organisation.
• Experience in using an ATS, CRM, or HR system (LinkedIn Recruiter is a bonus).
• Excellent communication skills with ability to effectively negotiate, persuade, and influence stakeholders as a trusted partner.

The Details

This role can be based in either Hobart, Launceston, or Devonport and attracts a salary of $80,000 - $89,000 (inclusive of superannuation). You can view the Position Description on our website.
