The Recycling and Waste Maintenance Officer provides a maintenance management program that supports and optimises the operation of Recycling and Waste Centre assets including asset inspections and condition auditing in line with Asset Management specifications. The position supports and contributes to the effective and efficient operation and maintenance of Council's waste management facilities, programs and services.Key Responsibilities:
- Coordinate the plan the organisations of waste infrastructure, conducting asset inspections, capturing data for new assets, and auditing asset conditions to meet the quality standards outlined in the Council's Asset Management specifications.
- Regular safety and environmental audits of the Council's waste facilities are also part of the responsibilities, ensuring compliance with Workplace Health and Safety standards and environmental license conditions.
- To administer and execute a maintenance management program aimed at supporting and optimising the operation of Recycling and Waste Centre assets.
- Assist in the development of works programs aligned to maintenance budgets for maintenance activities. Project manage the expenditure programs including the engagement of contractors, auditing and cost control.
- Maintain a safety first culture ensuring all employees, contractors and customers comply with all relevant safety systems and that appropriate controls and precautions are in place to ensure the safety of all staff, contractors and customers.
