The Job:
HOYTS are on the lookout for an Accountant to join our Finance and Commercial Team in Sydney. In this role you will work within a team of regional accountants to provide daily accounting services to cinema sites and office departments. While no two days are the same, your duties will include:
- Assisting in the compilation of daily, weekly and monthly reporting
- Profit and loss statements, balance sheet reconciliations and management reports.
- Providing insights and analytics to support strategic decision
- Accurate recording and representation of revenue, expenses, assets and liabilities.
- Understanding of KPIs, their purpose, calculation and usefulness
- Providing support to the Finance Manager and Finance Team
Who we are looking for:
We are looking for a top performer with an understanding of accounting concepts. It’s a fast-paced environment and requires someone who has strong technical capability, proven attention to detail and a 'can do' attitude. We are also looking for:
- A relevant degree or transferable qualification
- Ability to work independently and as part of a cross-functional team
- Strong quantitative reasoning skills
- Strong written and verbal communication skills
- Intermediate Microsoft Office Skills including Microsoft Excel
