The Role
Be a part of a high-performing Finance team, where we have fun while getting the job done. The Regional Accountant - APAC role will support key accounting functions across multiple entities in the Asia Pacific region.
We are looking for someone who is an agile and fast learner who thrives in an environment of change. You will be responsible for critical month-end processes, key balance sheet reconciliations, Profit and Loss analysis, assisting with annual financial statement preparation and supporting tax compliance as well as lending a hand where needed.
As we are growing rapidly in the APAC region, you will play an active role in identifying and driving improvements to processes, financial systems and internal controls.
This is an excellent opportunity for a hardworking, self-starting Financial Accountant with excellent analytical and problem-solving skills.
Key Responsibilities
- Preparing key balance sheet reconciliations in accordance with the month-end timetable.
- Assist in the preparation of various APAC entities' external financial reporting obligations.
- Coordinate intercompany transactions and reconciliations.
- Preparation of GST, FBT and assist with income tax returns.
About You
- You will have a minimum of 4 years’ post-qualified CPA/CA experience in a similar role using a large ERP system (SAP is a plus).
- Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills.
- Continuous improvement mindset with an ability to implement and automate accounting processes as well as business processes as required.
The successful candidate will have experience in statutory financial reporting, intercompany transactions analysis and reconciliations and demonstrate their understanding of APAC regional income tax, GST and Fringe Benefits Tax compliance.
