About Country Racing Victoria
Country Racing Victoria (CRV) represents 54 professional and 12 picnic racing clubs throughout Victoria, with the objective of generating a profitable and sustainable business through the delivery of a 'great day out' to our members and consumers.
The Role
Based out of our head office in Flemington, a position exists for a Regional Finance Manager to assist with the provision of services to the Victorian Country Racing Clubs in a shared services environment. The successful applicant will be enthusiastic, self driven and willing to contribute wherever possible.
This exciting and challenging opportunity will see you work as a trusted business partner with racing club managers and committees to support them in building commercially sustainable businesses, mainly through the provision of accurate and timely financial reporting.
Key Responsibilities
- Provide, present and analyse management reports for financial performance against budgets to country clubs, including regular liaison with club representatives;
- Assistance in the maintenance of the general ledger and bank accounts for multiple entities in a shared services environment;
- Prepare annual financial statements and audit file;
- Ensure the integrity of accounts payable, accounts receivable and payroll functions;
- Reconcile balance sheet accounts including maintenance of fixed asset registers and maintain the General Ledger;
- Assist clubs with club budgets and business plans including presentation to club representatives;
- Complete statutory compliance obligations including GST, PAYG, FBT and payroll tax;
- Preparation of ad-hoc reports and tasks as required.
The Applicant
To be successful in this role you will need strong communication skills and the ability to develop strong working relationships with multiple stakeholders. The successful candidate will have at least 3 years relevant experience in accounting or finance roles and be CA/CPA/ACCA/CIMA qualified or working towards. Experience using Netsuite is highly desirable.
Based out of our head office in Flemington, the position offers the chance to work from home and will require occasional travel to country Victoria. The successful applicant will be offered flexible working conditions (currently two days in office per week), and a great team environment.
