This role will suit a person who thrives leading a strong and supportive team. You will be responsible for leading the regional reporting and forecasting financial performance through the planning cycle to the Regional Executives and Boards. It is with this management reporting that will enable the business to deliver leading results. You will work throughout year end leading a team to provide Group statutory analysis to Executives and Board.To ensure our insights are fit for purpose, you will be ahead of the game by evolving and developing ways of capturing financial insights and leading a team to create various types of analytical reports. The successful candidate will need to gain an understanding of the operations at Transurban, in order to drive the transition to Tableau management reports.This is contract role, based in Melbourne, Brisbane, or Sydney locations.Day-to-day, you will:
- As part of month-end, you’ll support the completion of monthly management reports for an Executive audience and their leadership teams.
- Contribute to the success of the Finance Team by identifying trends and new opportunities to reduce cost and benchmarking operational performance to make great business decisions and understand the meaning behind the numbers.
- You’ll be involved in the regional budgeting and forecasting process by making it seamless and pain-free for all stakeholders.
- Coaching the team in enhancing communication of financial performance to non-finance stakeholders and driving efficiencies and automation of reporting
- Lead the timely and accurate transfer of data / information to stakeholders both inside and outside the Finance team.
- You’ll look for new ways of working, bringing your continuous improvement mindset to everything the team does.
- You’ll have previous experience in a leading a team providing analysis to senior leaders - thriving on providing budgeting, forecasting, analysis and reporting to the business.
- You have a passion for coaching others and supporting growth of talented team members.
- Adaptive Insights will be advantageous.
- Demonstrated expertise in delivering efficient and value driven financial reporting, budgets and forecasts.
- You understand the big picture, can support the design process, and understand day-to-day impacts.

- Highly developed communication skills – both verbal and written
- Adequate skills in the MS Suite of products with particular reference to Excel.
- CPA/CA qualified with a degree in a relevant discipline
