Positioned approximately 8km from the Perth CBD, the Town of Cambridge is a Band 2 Local Government Authority which covers the leafy western suburbs of City Beach, Floreat, Wembley, West Leederville, and part of Mt Claremont and Jolimont.
Reporting to the CEO, the Director Corporate and Commercial Services will be responsible for developing high-level plans and strategic leadership for the delivery of finance, corporate business services functions and of services relating to property management, facility leasing, contracts and purchasing functions, in addition to the Town’s commercial operations such as Wembley Golf Course and Bold Park Aquatic Centre. A key focus for this role will be to lead process improvement practices throughout the Directorate.
The successful applicant will have forged a career in Local Government within the corporate services area and will use their commercial astuteness to identify and translate business opportunities for the Town. A process-driven individual with a strategic mind and demonstrated understanding of finance and IT in the context of Local Government is the ideal skillset being sought. The ability to engage, equip and empower a team to maximise their strengths and the ability to influence internal and external stakeholders will also be essential for success in this role.
An attractive remuneration package of up to $241,156 is on offer, including superannuation of up to 16% (conditions apply) and 5 weeks’ annual leave, on a five (5) year contract.
