Regional Engineering Manager

The Role:

To drive the implementation of the global maintenance excellence program with the view to improve uptime and optimise the equipment lifecycle, ongoing plant equipment reliability, employing lean strategies towards zero waste and total employee engagement. This role supports each of the manufacturing sites in their evolution of best practice via internal audits and strategic planning.

The purpose is to ultimately have a leadership stance and be at the forefront driving the reliability functionality. More specifically, this position will therefore be responsible for supporting all sites maintenance managers in the realm of improving asset reliability and plant performance.

• Delivery of global and regional KPI’s including uptime, cost, inventory and other leading indicators
• Drive a global maintenance excellence program for the ANZ region
• Oversight for manage spare part inventory levels, spare part cost, suppliers selection
• Provides technical support and coaching to maintenance management across the ANZ region
• Ownership of regional obsolescence and Asset Life Extension programs with direct input in regional 5 year capex plans
• Collaborate with internal HR teams to develop a succession pipeline for key maintenance roles in the region
• Support Global best practice via internal auditing programs
• Assist to develop maintenance SCA’s initiatives

• Bachelor of Engineering, Mechanical, Electrical, Mechatronics or related area is essential
• Budget Management
• Project Management
• Extensive experience working in a Fast Moving Consumer Goods environment (7+ years)
• 5-7+ years in people leadership roles is desirable
• Knowledge of CMMS population, review and improvement
• High level of computer literacy and ability to analyse data
• Knowledge of energy and carbon reduction technology
• Broad understanding of Workplace Health and Safety
• Ability to work autonomously and can prioritise work
• Effective negotiation and influencing skills
• A track record of delivering accurate information and reliability improvements based on structured analysis
