Job Overview:

You will be part of the management team, whose focus is to deliver excellent customer service. You will be working closely together with, Sales, Operations, Bid Management and Finance teams.

Your primary purpose is to strategically lead and implement all aspects of the Human Resources function. You will play a pivotal role in cultivating a positive workplace culture that aligns with the Company's values and objectives. By formulating and implementing effective HR policies, procedures, and initiatives, you will ensure the attraction, development, and retention of top talent.

Your assignment is to help us bring our People Strategy to life.

Job Role and Responsibilities:

HR Strategy, Leadership, and Coordination

  • Strategic talent partner to Regional Leadership
  • Develop a strategic approach to Human Resources and execute these strategies.
  • Lead and support a continuous change agenda advising on people's decisions to drive effectiveness.
  • Ensure HR is given full consideration in all decision-making.
  • Assess, redesign, and improve HR processes and policies as needed.
  • Focus on the continuous improvement of HR processes and procedures to ensure effective, fair, and equitable management of employees throughout the organisation.
  • Prepare reports for management in relation to employee turnover, new hires, resignations, training, and development, etc.

Recruitment

  • Review recruitment policies and processes including identifying appropriate recruitment channels, recruitment partners, assessment tools and competencies to facilitate selection of suitable candidate.
  • Primary engagement in sourcing, interviewing, and onboarding new hires.
  • Build a strong talent pipeline with the regional teams.
  • Develop and review the effectiveness of onboarding program to ensure new hires are inducted into the company culture.
  • Stay abreast of market data for salaries to assist with salary planning and benchmarking for new roles.

Performance Management

  • Guide and support regional managers on all aspects of performance management,especially in markets where local HR is either not present or inexperienced.
  • Oversee the performance management of the employees including job description formulation, role alignment, assessments, and promotions.
  • Implementing performance appraisals, training, and feedback across the region quarterly and annually.
  • Drive best practice and act as counsel to Management on all issues of employee performance.

Talent Management & Retention

  • Work with management on developing Talent Management Strategy and Career Path Assessment process.
  • Support, communicate, and advise senior management on their talent development initiatives.

Training and Development

  • Guide and support regional managers on all aspects of talent management, especially in markets where local HR is either not present or inexperienced.
  • Propose a HR Strategy and Budget for Professional Development. initiatives
  • Work alongside the Regional Managers to execute approved training programs.
  • Execute talent, retention, and succession planning initiatives.
  • Ensure Avtel’s Purpose and Values resonate throughout all HR initiatives.

Legal and Compliance Practices

  • Ensure up-to-date employment policies align with local legislation across all territories.
  • Continual policy and process development and amending and implementing policies and procedures in line with employment law regulation.

Compensation, Benefits, and Awards:

  • Conduct periodic compensation and benefits surveys to ensure the organisation remains competitive in the job market.
  • Work closely with Executive to implement the Group’s Incentive Scheme for all levels of the Organisation to promote performance excellence and reward achievements.

Required Skills and Experience:

  • Proven track record to collaborate, flex, establish relationships and influence at all levels and types within the organisation including leaders.
  • A start-up/growth scale-up mindset, flexible, and open to adapt to changing requirements when needed; roll-up-your-sleeves mindset.
  • Must have experience and knowledge of the business, economic, culture and talent environment in multiple countries across Asia specifically Japan, Korea, Singapore and Australia
  • Ability to interact with and influence all levels of management, and executives.
  • 8+ years of progressively complex/strategic HR experience, including organization effectiveness, staff relations, compensation, staff development and recruitment.
  • Proficient with Employment Law in Japan/ Australia/ Singapore / Korea

  • Fluent in business English (written and spoken)
