We have been a supplier of professional fire protection products and services for over 40 years. We are looking for a leader in Talent acquisition and management, on a permanent Part Time/Casual Basis.
You will undertake all people administration activities within the employment life cycle, and you will work closely with the Executive Team to implement key strategic planning decisions and facilitate engagement with Employees. This is a very hands-on role reporting directly to the Managing Director.
Solid experience in performance management and the application of HR law will hold you in good stead.
Responsibilities
- Provide end-to-end support for the entire employment life cycle including - talent planning, recruitment & selection, employee relations, staff retention, development, and performance management.
- Equip Divisional leaders with appropriate tools and knowledge to effectively manage and develop their people and provide proactive guidance and counsel on people-related issues.
- Manage and resolve complex employee relations issues.
- Partner with leadership teams to develop key strategies and objectives for the organization, ensuring that the HR initiatives and programs are clearly aligned with business priorities.
- Designing and managing the onboarding processes
- Reviewing position descriptions
- Monitoring performance of new staff during the probationary period
- Implementing and overseeing a performance review process
- Considering career development, recognition opportunities and retention incentives
- Managing performance management issues, including informal and formal complaints handling, performance management and disciplinary processes, including legally compliant termination of employment processes
- Providing general wellbeing support to staff
Requirements
- 4+ years in a HR Management role
- Confident and resilient and able to offer credible, timely advice
- Strong skills in senior level stakeholder engagement and relationship building
- A detailed knowledge of, and ability to develop and apply in a business environment, HR practices and systems that meet legislative and regulatory requirements.
