Your role
This is an exciting opportunity to join our Regional Manufacturing team as a Maintenance Engineer based at our Osborne site in Adelaide. You will be responsible for managing maintenance activities of allocated regional sites and ensuring consistent maintenance strategies are applied and correctly implemented within the IXOM business.
With a goal of continuously improving the safe operation and reliability of our plants and equipment, you will also oversee planned shutdown activities and participate in different steps of project delivery for small projects on site.
Your responsibilities
- Manage and plan Mechanical and Electrical maintenance activities of your assigned regional plants in coordination with site personnel, including managing work priorities and provide guidance for breakdown maintenance.
- Oversee maintenance activities on site and organize maintenance works and breakdowns.
- Manage critical spares and develop solutions to solve plant reliability problems
- Review current condition monitoring practice and aim to implement best practice condition monitoring program
- Complete allocated sustenance projects ensuring IXOM project management processes are followed, and manage maintenance budget
- Ensures compliances to regulatory requirement, IXOM policies and procedures
- Ensure your work activities, and those of your team, comply with the requirements set under the Work Health and Safety Act and its associated regulations as well as IXOM's Safety Management System
- Support your team to provide a professional level of customer service that meets the business' needs
Your skills & experience
- Tertiary qualification in Engineering (preferably Electrical, Mechanical or Mechatronics) recognised by Engineers Australia is essential
- Hands on experience in plant and equipment maintenance is essential
- Proven experience with heavy industries process operations or manufacturing environment is highly desirable
- Experiences in Computerised Maintenance Management System, like Mex, SAP etc.
- Demonstrated ability in asset management and statutory inspection and testing of plant and equipment
- Knowledge and experience in fault finding, troubleshooting and root cause analysis, as well as in planning maintenance shutdowns
- Flexibility to adapt to changes in the responsibilities of the role as per business needs
- Strong communication and influential skills to bring consistency across multiple sites
- Travel between sites will be required for this role
