Pirate Life Brewing was founded in 2014 on a five-day journey across the Nullarbor Plain. We landed in Adelaide, established a brewery, and spent the next seven years building a brand. In that time, we’ve gone from three founders to a crew of over one hundred, four venues across Australia and cemented ourselves as one of the country’s most recognisable craft breweries and brands.

About the brewery:
- Automated 50 hL Krones Brewhouse.
- Manual 25hL Premier Stainless Brewhouse.
- 100hL/hr GEA centrifuge / filtration system.

What You'll Do
As a Maintenance Engineer, you will lead the Maintenance team and be actively involved in maintenance of all aspects of our manufacturing plant. The successful candidate must have a passion for manufacturing and be willing to work outside of normal business hours. This will include after-hours call outs, different start, finish times and weekend work.
Responsibilities Include:
- Preventative maintenance tasks within the allocated timeframes.
- Manager to the Maintenance Team and overseeing external contractors
- Working with brewing and packaging teams to ensure maintenance activities are coordinated with production.
- Breakdown response including outside of normal hours.
- Assist with breakdown investigations, root cause analysis and fault finding.
- Ensuring that spare parts are on hand in accordance with site needs and maintenance budget.
What You've Got
- Australian Trade Certificate in Engineering or similar qualification
- Suitable experience in fast paced industrial/manufacturing environment
- Knowledge of business operations including Good Manufacturing Practices (GMP) and Safe Operating Procedures (SOPs)
- You are prepared to work after-hours call outs, different start, finish times and weekend and on weekends.
- You have excellent communication skills and are competent and comfortable with computer systems.
- You are comfortable with physically demanding work.
- You have a commitment to creating a safe and sustainable workplace.
- You want to understand and assist in the entire manufacturing process.
