Position Summary
The Regional Manager is responsible for the growth and development of business within the region, the performance of regional staff, and compliance with the Bank's policies and procedures. The position is responsible for achieving regional sales targets, ensuring strong member focus, and developing and monitoring regional team objectives. The Regional Manager is responsible for building brand awareness within the defence community and building relationships with key defence partners and related stakeholders.
Major Responsibility Areas
Sales & Business Development (Home Loan Funding, Consumer Lending Funding, CCI Sales, GI and Retail Deposit Growth, Super & Pension Sales)
- Responsible for achieving regional sales and funding targets.
- Develop and implement sales goals and action plans within the region directly tied into measurable results through timely and consistent execution.
- Understanding of own business performance and local environment communicated effectively through business development reporting.
- Communication to Executive team of branch and base dominance activities
- Set high expectations for excellent member service and hold the team accountable to the measurable results.
- Build new relationships with defence and partners to increase membership growth and member satisfaction/engagement.
- Manage and resolve member disputes and complaints
Leadership
- Responsible for ensuring all staff are adequately coached and developed to a level where they are competent to attend to day to day branch activities.
- Ensuring any identified trends of underperformance are formally addressed with staff, and clearly documented performance improvement plans are in place.
- Responsible to consistently and effectively communicate the company objectives to all branches.
Service
- Ensure team members achieve Connect Call Activity
- Ensure Phone Grade of Service is met in relation to Distribution's Quality Assurance & Coaching Program.

Knowledge, Skill, and Experience Requirements
Technical Skills
- Intermediate Microsoft Office skills
- Experienced with managing multiple branches and people remotely
- Experience with preparing sales reports
- Previously led a team of lenders that have regularly met or exceeded targets across a range of banking products
- Well-developed lending skills, experience with a DLAA highly desirable
- Experience working in a centralised lending environment with contemporary retail banking products, processes and systems.
- Strong communication skills and can lead, coach, develop & influence others.
Education & Qualifications
- Tier 2 Financial Services
- Cert IV in Financial Services, or Frontline Management is desirable.
Work Experience
- At least 2 years in a people leadership role.
Other
- Valid unrestricted drivers licence as this role requires regular travel to branches.
