Regional Project Manager - Kwinana

UGL Fuels & Energy line of business are seeking interest from experienced Project Manager’s who can bring their expertise of leading Maintenance, Construction & Engineering projects.

As part of the Fuels & Energy portfolio, this position will be working on a secured contract with a major oil and gas distributor. 

This role will work with a team of various disciplines and trades to provide safe, reliable and efficient expertise to the Project Teams.

About the role

This role is accountable for safe and efficient execution of the Regional (Kwinana) Project Portfolio for ATOM under the PEM&AM contract. You will act as a Centre of Excellence for project management by setting high standards to influence and train your onsite team. You will manage a team of project delivery leads, project engineers and subcontractors at the Kwinana facility whilst complying with all PEM&AM procedures and policies and develop and maintain excellent client relationships. You will coordinate engineering support for our client’s terminal operations and provide support to other contracts outside of PEM&AM.

·       Establish and maintain strong, successful working relationships with the client at all levels to ensure successful delivery

·       Lead and mentor the project delivery team

·       Manage stakeholder and key client interactions, foster positive relationship with client

·       Meet new clients and work with the Business Development group to assist in identifying, bidding and winning of new opportunities

·       Ensure projects are delivered within the approved project program, schedule, budget and in accordance with approved specifications and designs

·       Connect with the Engineering team and resources to deliver best value to client

·       Undertake project development from concept development, selection, estimating and project sanction

·       Ensure all functional areas of projects are coordinated, including engineering, drafting, procurement, construction, commissioning, finance and administration, controls and reporting, quality assurance, safety, industrial relations and personnel

·       Track performance of key project metrics and take action to drive continuous improvement

·       Educate and develop of strategic plans to improve and integrate delivery scopes including asset reliability, maintenance, work management cycle and capital portfolio management

About you

To be considered for the role the following qualifications and experience is preferred:

·       Degree Qualified (Bachelor of Engineering or equivalent)

·       15 years combined industry experience in Project and Portfolio Management in relevant industry (e.g. Oil & Gas, Petrochemicals, Chemicals)

·       Project portfolio delivery experience in a brownfields Oil & Gas multidisciplinary capacity preferable

·       Operating site experience desirable, with strong and positive approach to safety

·       Customer focused, team oriented, accountable and results driven

·       Excellent relationship building, problem solving and negotiation skills

·       Proactively seek continuously improvements to performance, deliverables and work efficiencies

·       Display effective verbal and written communication capability

·       Strong team leader skillset with excellent conflict resolution skills

·       High level of personal resilience and persistence

·       Ability and willingness to adapt, quickly learn and apply to use new skills and knowledge brought about by rapidly changing structure, process, information and/or technology
