With a culture that promotes opportunities for professional development and a vibrant multi-national company, they are now seeking a Regional Sales Manager to join their business and play a key role in their fast-growing organisation.
The Role
On behalf of our client, we are seeking an individual to drive sales growth in QLD (mainly, but not limited to QLD) by leading direct sales, creating strategic alliances and relationships with important reseller organisations, regional distributors, and large farming corporations. The incumbent in this role will monitor customer, market, and competitor activity weekly to build and adapt appropriate strategic plans for the assigned geography.
As a leader of the sales team, the Regional Sales Manager will report directly to Australia’s General Manager and be responsible for engaging and maintaining close relationships with growers, companies, and key industry players in each region, with the purpose of developing sales and enabling a comprehensive understanding of trends and opportunities.
Your duties will include (but not be limited to) the following:
- Plan and facilitate routine strategic sales calls with sales team and regional distributors
- Ensure the sales team provides good service and support to the business’ partners and distributors
- Participate in sales activities including conferences, trade shows, field days, etc.
- Support installations, service requirements and operational needs
- In charge of correct usage and implementation of CRM in the company
- Periodic reporting of the Sales plan progress and statistics to GM
- Business travel required Australia-wide
About You
Our ideal candidate will be driven, with a strong background in agricultural sales. Honesty and authenticity are key, coupled with great interpersonal skills and a genuine passion for the Agricultural industry. Furthermore, you will be adaptable, organised, and professional.
To be considered for the role, it is important that you can address the following:
- Minimum 3 years’ experience in sales.
- Exposure to broadacre cropping is highly desirable (Cotton and Grains favourable)
- Agronomy diploma or degree is highly desirable
- Ability to work as part of a team, or independently as required
