We are searching for a dynamic individual to join us as a Regional Senior Accounting Manager, working remotely from your home office based in Sydney the role will support the Assistant Controller & Regional Controller for Emerging Markets which includes China, Asia, India, the Middle East, Africa and Australia and New Zealand.
This role will take responsibility over the accounting operations for our Evoqua Australia & Singapore entities with a focus on strategy for integrating these operations into our core Xylem business.
As a key member of our overall controllership organization for the region, the successful candidate will play a crucial role in administering the day-to-day operations of Xylem's Global Finance program. You will be an enthusiastic and highly motivated professional who thrives in a fast-paced environment and excels at collaborating with various business stakeholders.
Main duties will include:
- Manage the monthly financial close process, including ensuring all costs incurred are properly recorded, reviewing journal entries, account balance reconciliations
- Participate in the ongoing development of accounting policies and procedures and operational strategies including the review and implementation of process and system changes.
- Ensure compliance with internal control policies in a SOX environment
- Collaborate with external auditors to ensure successful audit results and compliance
- Producing timely, efficient and accurate month-end close and all internal management and financial reporting through annual report
- Make recommendations for changes as needed and ensure that company policies and procedures are followed and establishes the proper techniques to discover and prevent fraud
- Assist with compilation of information for preparation of tax returns
- Work with the Audit, Tax and Treasury Manager to ensure overall coordination of all financial accounting activities through annual report
- Prepare summary feedback of financial statements variances to budget
The ideal candidate will have:
- Bachelor's Degree in relevant field or equivalent
- Significant audit experience
- Experience in US GAAP and SOX
- Strong Technical Accounting Skills
- Ability to adapt to change quickly.
- Ability to work with people from many different departments.
- Ability to communicate well with others.
