How will I help?This role will provide support to the Director of
Financial Modelling & Valuations within Group finance to drive forward thinking, ideation and advice in relation to the group strategy and financial outcomes.The successful candidate will require a strong corporate finance and
Financial Modelling background, including a detailed understanding of the industry, regulatory context, peers, profitability and valuation drivers, as well as relative returns.They will also support to drive a cultural shift in business conversations and decision-making, anchored to future outcomes, external lenses and the next disclosable event, in a manner that is efficient, data-led, driver-based and actionable. This includes the development, operationalisation and ongoing enhancement of
Financial Modelling capability across our key lines of business, functions and group valuation models.
Responsibilities will include:- Understanding of best practice modelling techniques, model interpretation, corporate finance and valuation methodology.
- Work with GF Finance Transformation Strategy and Business Intelligence teams to develop, operationalise and continuously enhance Financial Modelling capability across the Finance job family.
- Build and lead deeper valuation capability by translating Line of Business (LOB) financials into Sum of The Parts (SoTP) valuation outcomes to support key balance sheet and capital allocation decisions (driving assessment of share price performance).
- Build and lead capability within the Group for how risk adjusted returns are understood and used across the enterprise, including but not limited to exploring best practice approaches on product and customer profitability.
- Develop and maintain management policies, standards, and guardrails for Financial Modelling capability.
- Provide insight into the competitive environment, industry and regulatory trends and incorporate into ongoing analysis for senior stakeholders.
- Provide advice and challenge on modelling data, drivers, processes, outcomes, sensitivity analysis, scenario planning, and insights for the Group, our key lines of business and functions to evaluate impact of potential changes to performance.

What do I need?- Previous Financial Modelling experience in banking and or financial services industry
- Strong corporate finance and valuation skillset, with a deep understanding of what drives share price performance
- Experience in banking revenue modelling
- Combining technical skills with commercial acumen to deliver superior problem-solving and insights to “connect the dots” beyond the financials
- Proven capability in critically analysing and synthesising complex information into simple digestible key messages and actionable insights
- Competency in translating Financial Modelling and valuation outcomes into strategy, policy formulation and practical business application
- Balancing risk appetite and group controls to drive the right performance outcomes
- Chartered or CPA qualified may be desirable, but not essential
