Imtrade Australia is a privately-owned chemical formulator and supplier specialising in crop protection products. Operations are based at our custom-built manufacturing facility at Kwinana Beach in Western Australia, supplying a comprehensive range of products via our national network of sales and distribution centres.

A vacancy has recently arisen in our technical team.  We seek to appoint a Regional Technical Manager, SA/Vic to provide thoughtful and practicable agronomic input to further our position in agricultural chemicals nationally and internationally. This will entail regulatory trial work in support of new registrations, field-based R&D supporting intellectual property development and client and grower group demonstrations. This is a rare opportunity to be involved with a company that is in an exciting phase of growth and is generating new product options for agriculture based on Australian research. 

Coming into a well-established technical department, all the tools and processes are already in place for you to hit the ground running in this largely autonomous role. 

The position will suit an individual with current experience in a similar role or who has a background in field-based regulatory efficacy and/or GLP trialling. Remuneration will be negotiated based on skills and experience.

Technical Agronomist Responsibilities:

• Implement a R&D trials program across SA and Victoria
• Conduct regulatory efficacy and GLP small plot field trials in-house
• Manage externally contracted trials and demonstrations
• Provide technical assistance on agronomic issues to customers, resellers, research organisations and Imtrade staff
• Participate in customer-facing activities

Candidate Requirements:

• Agricultural science/agronomy degree (or similar) 
• High level analytical skills
• C class drivers licence
• National Police Check 
• Previous trial experience
