We are looking for a Sydney-based arts generalist who loves both spreadsheets and speaking with people all over NSW and Australia. The Manager, Special Project & Regional Touring position is the lynchpin for our NSW Regional Touring program, working with regional presenters, Australian musicians, and Musica Viva Australia colleagues, and also with performing artists and cultural partners in Sydney, especially users of our rehearsal space, the Janette Hamilton Studio.
With demonstrated experience in scheduling and tour logistics, managing relationships, and strong organisational skills, ideally gained in the arts or the broader not for profit sector, the successful candidate will display excellent interpersonal and communication skills, with an attention to detail, and be a confident driver. The ideal candidate will have a high degree of understanding of the pressures on regional communities, at least two years’ experience in presenting classical music performances with the ability to talk confidently and collaboratively with peers in this area, and in marketing or audience development. An interest in and/or knowledge performance lighting or audio systems is desired.
