About the role
St Catherine Ward at Calvary North Adelaide Hospital is looking for enthusiastic, energetic and experienced Registered and Enrolled Nurses to join the team.
St Catherine Ward is a 30 bed surgical ward specialising in Colorectal, Gastroenterology, Gynaecology, Women’s Health and General Surgery, and Orthopaedics, with a mix of short stay simple surgical patients and high acuity and complex surgical patients.
St Clare is a 32 bed surgical ward specialising in Urology, orthopaedic, plastic and general surgery including Paediatrics.
Both wards also have a combination of general medical patients.
The ward has a dynamic team of nursing and support staff.
Duties
This role is direct patient care role providing excellence in evidence based nursing care
Development of relationships with like-minded professional people
Active involvement in staff and patient education
Skills and Experience
Current AHPRA registration and ability to work as a Registered Nurse or an Enrolled Nurse.
Recent Acute Care experience – surgical ward nursing preferred, or a desire and willingness to learn.
Post-graduate qualification or extensive experience in acute care, stomal therapy, breast care, or orthopaedics is highly desirable, however not essential
Excellent customer service
Competent computer skills
Ability to think in an agile way
A desire to join a multi-disciplined team committed to the care of others in a mission based organisation
