Registered Nurse & Enrolled Nurse
Full time, Permanent Part time and Casual positions available - all shifts
We are seeking both Registered and Enrolled Nurse’s to join our experience and long standing team at NECH in our Medical Specialty Ward. We are a combined 42 bed unit that manages and care for rehabilitation, geriatric evaluation and management, palliative care, acute medical, surgical and orthopaedic patients.
We are a family friendly place to work and as such support flexibility with rostering and are willing to negotiate working hours for the right candidate.
Successful Applicants will have the ability to work across multiple areas of the organisation if they wish.
Essential criteria
- You will provide a high level of person centred care and follow policy and procedure
- You will work alongside Allied health and Visiting Medical officers to bring the best possible outcomes by ensuring care plans are up to date and followed appropriately
- You will assist in discharge planning and provide discharge education to consumers
- You will support and mentor our junior registered nurse and Enrolled Nurses
- You will have a good understanding of the 8 National standards as set out by the Australian Commission on Quality and Safety in Healthcare
- All applicants will be registered with AHPRA and have a valid national and working with children police clearance
Desirable
- Ability to cannulate and perform venepuncture
- High dependency experience/Advanced Life Support Certificate
- After Hours Team Leading/Coordinating experience
- Post graduate qualifications/certificates
