What you'll be doing
Working alongside midwives within Central Coast Midwifery Group Practice who ensure a united ethos of partnering with women to ensure holistic quality care with positive outcomes. Assessment, planning, implementation and evaluation of midwifery care in collaboration with women, families, and the multidisciplinary healthcare team are prioritised.
You will have an opportunity to attend homebirth where our midwives are committed to empowering families to experience safe and rewarding births in the comfort of their own homes. We believe in holistic, woman-centered care that respects each individual's choices and preferences throughout the birthing journey. As a publicly funded program, we prioritize accessibility and inclusivity, ensuring that all families have access to high-quality maternity care.
This position requires a midwife to be on-call midwife which requires availability, responsiveness, flexibility, preparedness, effective communication, clinical proficiency, and self-care. It is a demanding yet rewarding aspect of midwifery practice that plays a crucial role in ensuring women receive timely and comprehensive care throughout their pregnancy, birthing and postnatal journey.
The midwives are required to maintain responsibility for personal and professional development by participating in ongoing training/education activities, clinical supervision and performance reviews in order to continuously improve the level and quality of service.
About You
- AHPRA Registered Midwife with expertise in multidisciplinary care for women and babies.
- Proficient in clinical communication via various mediums, with strong interpersonal skills.
- Skilled in evidence-based practice, leadership, and effective workload management for quality midwifery care.
