We are excited to offer fly-in fly-out positions for Registered Midwives at our all-in-one maternity service in Armidale offering flexible hours to match your lifestyle. Our facility includes 10 beds and 2 delivery suites, where we provide comprehensive care for our patients both pre- and post-natal. Our strong, cohesive team ensures that our midwives are not segregated but work together seamlessly, allowing for a collaborative and supportive environment.In addition to bedside care, our midwives run clinics, offering an excellent opportunity to utilize and expand your skills across various aspects of maternity care. We are seeking candidates with prior experience in maternity services who can contribute effectively from day one. Armidale Maternity is not just a workplace but a community where help and teamwork are paramount, making it a great place for professional growth and development.Where you'll be working:Armidale, the main hub of New England High Country, is one of Australia's most charming regional destinations, known for its 19th-century churches and heritage architecture. This elegant city, with its tree-lined streets, is a five-and-a-half-hour drive from Sydney and less than 90 minutes from Tamworth. Daily flights between Sydney and Armidale take less than an hour.Surrounded by stunning forests, mountain gorges, national parks, and waterfalls, including Wollomombi Falls, one of Australia's highest, Armidale offers a picturesque setting. - We are looking for midwives who are positive, friendly, enthusiastic, eager to learn, and can work as part of a team.
- You will be passionate about women-centered care and thrive on making a positive difference to women, their families, and babies throughout the pregnancy journey.
- You will possess the ability to respond appropriately and effectively to challenging situations with the ability and commitment to support colleagues and patients alike.
- Your high-level communication and interpersonal skills, alongside your ability to build strong, professional relationships with your patients will see you thrive in these environments.
- Current registration as a Registered Midwife with AHPRA
- Daily Allowances (LAFHA) - $118.15 per day (including days off if working full time or amount calculated at pro-rata if part-time). This equals up to $827.05 per week extra.
- Free Accommodation - On-site or local. You can take your partner and even your pet (dependent on availability).
- Travel Costs - This may include paid travel time (capped at a certain amount) and other reimbursements/contributions including interstate flights, train, and car.
