We are seeking experienced Registered Midwives in Southeast and Central Melbourne. The ideal candidate will be a responsible and well-trained professional capable of providing quality healthcare services to patients within facilities while faithfully and consistently adhering to health and safety guidelines.
Key responsibilities include:
- Conducting regular check-ups and assessments during pregnancy.
- Monitoring the health and progress of both mother and baby.
- Offering guidance on nutrition, exercise, and overall well-being.
- Providing emotional support and reassurance during labor.
- Monitoring the progress of labor and assisting with pain management.
- Collaborating with obstetricians and other healthcare professionals for a safe delivery.
- Offering postpartum care and support to new mothers.
- Assisting with breastfeeding and newborn care.
- Monitoring the physical and emotional recovery of the mother.
To be successful in the role you will have:
- Minimum of 1 year experience as a Registered Midwife.
- AHPRA Registration is mandatory.
- Valid working rights in Australia with experience in any of the following - Antenatal/Birthsuite/Post Natal/SCN NICU.
- Knowledgeable in various medical equipment as a Midwife.
- Neo-Natal Resuscitation, Fetal Monitoring (CTG) and Obstretic Emergency Training Certificates.
- Valid flu vaccination and Covid vaccination history.
