Position Overview:
As a Registered Midwife/Dual Midwife &Clinical Midwife, you will play a pivotal role in providing comprehensive and personalized care to women and their newborns. Responsibilities:
- Provide antenatal, intrapartum, and postnatal care to women and their babies, ensuring their physical, emotional, and psychological well-being.
- Conduct assessments, monitor progress, and implement appropriate interventions to support normal physiological childbirth and manage complications when necessary.
- Offer education and support to women and their families on pregnancy, childbirth, breastfeeding, and newborn care, promoting informed decision-making and self-efficacy.
- Collaborate with obstetricians, pediatricians, and other healthcare professionals to coordinate care and facilitate seamless transitions throughout the maternity continuum.
- Participate in childbirth education classes, support groups, and community outreach programs to promote maternal and infant health.
- Maintain accurate documentation and adhere to regulatory standards and best practice guidelines.
Qualifications:
- Bachelor of Midwifery degree or equivalent qualification from a recognized institution.
- Current registration with the Nursing and Midwifery Board of Australia (NMBA) as a Registered Midwife.
- Previous experience in a Clinical Midwifery role, preferably in a maternity care setting.
- Strong clinical assessment and decision-making skills, with the ability to provide evidence-based care in diverse situations.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with a compassionate and woman-centered approach to care.
