The Role
As the Registered Nurse you will:
Perform clinical duties in accordance with best practice including, triage, wound and chronic disease management, assist GPs with procedures and conduct health assessments, including home-based
Maintain patient documentation and ensure appropriate cold chain and infection control
Ensure the appropriate sterilisatisaion and maintenance of clinical equipment
Provide support, and at times relief to Medical Centre reception staff
Mandatory Requirements
Skills & Experience
The successful applicant will have the following:
Bachelors Degree in a relevant field and current registration with AHPRA
Experience working in primary health care, preferably in community-based roles
Skills and experience in home-based health assessment
High level of care coordination and referral skills
Knowledge of current immunisation schedules, diabetes and asthma management, and enhanced primary care items
Knowledge of infection control, CPR and emergency resuscitation techniques, equipment and drugs
