The Australian Allergy Centre - Bella Vista would like to welcome an experienced and skilled part-time Registered nurse with a passion in compassionate patient care and an interest allergy healthcare to join our team. We're looking for an enthusiastic nurse who enjoys the flexibility of working 2 days a week (Tuesday and Friday).
Who we are
The Australian Allergy Centre provides leading primary medical care for allergy and ENT conditions. Our vision is to deliver comprehensive allergy care at an affordable cost. Since 2015 we’ve helped more than 30,000 patients get clinical answers to a range of allergy and ENT-related conditions.
You will be working with GP Allergists who are trained with postgraduate allergy and ENT skills to examine patient issues holistically. We are comprehensive in our approach and we test, diagnose, and treat conditions onsite but will coordinate access to a range of interdisciplinary specialists when needed.
What will you do?
You’ll play a core role in the clinic's operation. You will be responsible for:
- Administering allergy tests such as skin prick tests and patch tests
- Administering immunotherapy injections, allergy medications and treatments, rhinolight therapy
- Maintaining accurate medical records
- Providing compassionate patient support, addressing concerns, and ensuring a positive clinic experience.
- Scheduling appointments and patient reminders.
- Monitoring vaccines to ensure cold chain is maintained and managing vaccine stocks
- Maintaining infection control standards and ensuring a safe environment for patients and staff.
Skills
While prior experience working in clinics is preferred, having a great attitude and fit for our team is most important. The successful candidate must have excellent people and patient skills, have the ability to work independently and as part of a team, and be driven and self-motivated. - Excellent triage skills
- Ability to maintain Reminder and Recall Systems
- Cold-chain management knowledge
- Experience with ordering and maintaining stock control
- Assisting with procedures and general nursing duties
- Able to connect and interact with people of all ages, background and personalities

- Passionate about providing exceptional customer care and service
- Willingness to take on new experiences and challenges
- Excellent time management and organisational skills, with close attention to detail
