JOB SUMMARY
This position is responsible for providing general and specialized direct and indirect patient care through the application of evidence-based nursing procedures and practices to patients of all ages on assigned nursing unit:
- Acute Care - Neuro/Cardiac/Transplant/Oncology
- Operating Room Theatre - Neuro/Cardiac/Transplant
- Perioperative Services - PACU, Endoscopy, Cathlab, Interventional Radiology, Imaging
Critical Care - Neuro/Cardiac/Transplant
QUALIFICATION & EXPERIENCE REQUIREMENTS
- Minimum three (3) year of Bachelor’s degree in nursing in Nursing from an accredited program is required.
- Minimum of two (2) years post-graduate experience in ICU/ACU/Periop/OR setting is required.
- Valid and current national license is required
- BLS is required from AHA or an equivalent organization, or must be obtained within 3 months of employment.
- ACLS, PALS relevant to area of specialty is required, from AHA or an equivalent organization; or must obtain within 6 months of employment.
- Experience with electronic medical record is strongly preferred.
