Ballarat Day Oncology is seeking an experienced Registered Nurse to join our oncology unit on a part time or casual basis. Day Oncology is a fast paced and varied environment, requiring a friendly and positive work attitude and a strong commitment customer care.
About us
Ballarat Day Procedure Centre delivers Day Oncology and Day Surgical services. The organisation comprises of three operating theatres and offers a broad range of surgical services for all patients. Surgical specialities include Orthopaedics, Gynaecology, IVF, Plastics, Gastroenterology, Ophthalmology, ENT, General surgery and Dental.
We are seeking experienced Registered Nurses to fulfill the role of Day Oncology Nurse on a casual basis. You will be well supported by an inclusive and supportive team.
As a Registered Nurse, your responsibilities will include:
- Safe delivery of research-based standards of nursing care
- Compliance with ACHQSHC National Standards
- Highly developed interpersonal skills, motivated, proactive and customer focused
- Exceptional clinical skills
- Understanding of the principles of infection prevention
- Knowledge and adherence to safe work practices
- Evidence of ongoing professional development
- The ability to work within a multidisciplinary team
Essential criteria:
- Authority to work in Australia
- Working with children check
- 2+ years oncology experience (desirable)
- Sound clinical decision-making skills
- Antineoplastic Drug Administration qualification (desirable, onsite ADAC training and education available to suitable candidates)
