Key Responsibilities:
- Providing essential treatments and procedures with a focus on precision in medication administration, nutrition, hydration, and proficient management of pressure care.
- Conducting thorough assessments of residents' clinical needs, including monitoring vital signs and relevant health indicators.
- Offering expert advice on wound management and implementing tailored strategies to optimize care. Effectively managing diabetes and other chronic conditions through personalized and efficient interventions.
- Implementing behavioral management strategies to enhance residents' well-being and comfort.
- Promptly recognising and documenting changes in residents' health status to enable timely interventions.
- Establishing strong communication channels with residents, families, and healthcare professionals to address evolving needs.
- Adhering to legislation, regulations, and guidelines while making informed decisions within the scope of professional practice.
- Maintaining accurate and comprehensive documentation of assessments, plans, and interventions.
- Advocating for residents' autonomy, fostering professional relationships, and promoting a culture of safety and ongoing learning for person-centered care.
- Minimum of one year of clinical experience specializing in individualised patient care.
- Proficient in conducting assessments, developing care plans, and adhering to regulations.
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
- Competent in computer usage and proficient time management abilities.
- Comprehensive understanding of safety protocols, infection control measures, and proper lifting techniques.
- Demonstrated leadership experience in healthcare settings, including staff management.
- Familiarity with providing care for older adults or similar demographics.
- Current registration with AHPRA (Australian Health Practitioner Regulation Agency).
