Key Responsibilities:
- Conducting thorough assessments of residents' clinical needs, encompassing vital signs and relevant health indicators for a comprehensive evaluation.
- Administering vital treatments and procedures with precision, including medication administration, nutrition, hydration, and skilled pressure care management.
- Establishing robust communication channels with residents, families, and healthcare practitioners to address evolving needs.
- Effectively overseeing diabetes and other chronic conditions, emphasizing personalized and efficient interventions.
- Advocating for residents with a commitment to autonomy, cultivating professional relationships, and fostering a culture of safety and continuous learning for person-centered care.
- Providing expert guidance on wound management and implementing strategies to optimize overall care.
- Promptly identifying and documenting changes in residents' health status, facilitating timely interventions.
- Ensuring compliance with legislation, regulations, and guidelines, making informed decisions within the realm of professional practice.
- Implementing behavioral management strategies to improve residents' well-being and enhance their comfort.
- Maintaining detailed documentation of assessments, plans, and actions for accurate and comprehensive records.
- Active registration as a Registered Nurse with AHPRA
- Possession of a current First Aid Certificate
- Flexible availability for all rostered shifts, including morning, afternoon, night, or on-call duty as needed
- Proficiency in Aged Care, ACFI, wound care, and assessments
- Demonstrated supervisory skills with the ability to lead and train subordinate staff
- Competence in understanding and managing computer documentation systems and ACFI
- systems for data entry Strong time management skills
- Collaborative team player Completion of a National Criminal History Check, or a willingness to obtain one before commencement
- Up-to-date Flu and COVID-19 Vaccinations
