Opportunity to join the clinical team at Wheatfields, Wheatfields Incorporated is a Not-For-Profit community owned organisation that delivers residential Aged Care services to older Australians. Wheatfields Incorporated has a long-standing history in the community of Freeling, providing specialised care services to older people. Located an hour north of Adelaide in a quiet regional township, Wheatfields offers a community atmosphere that feels like home, providing care to older people by responding to their needs through the provision of quality services and accommodation.
As the new Registered Nurse, you have the opportunity to work with a team of dedicated Nurses and Carers to provide holistic, high-quality care and services to residents and families. This means providing clinical care ensuring compliance with policies and procedures. You will work closely with the lifestyle and carer team to achieve the delivery of competent and professional services to the residents of Wheatfields in accordance with statutory obligations and contemporary standards of care.
Duties will include but are not limited to:
- Provide clinical care to Aged Care residents across all care domains.
- Complete the assessment, planning, implementation, updating and evaluation of individual care to maximise choice and quality of life for residents
- Liaise with doctors, paramedics, resident families/representatives as required.
- Understand and promote to all staff the requirements for Compulsory Reporting, Mandatory training, and general training as a means in providing quality care to the residents.
Skills and Experience:
- Tertiary qualifications in Nursing and current registration with AHPRA as a Registered Nurse.
- Comprehensive clinical knowledge of the ageing process and health
- Proven clinical competencies with excellent clinical analysis, interpretation, and assessment skills.
- Demonstrated ability to work within a multi-disciplinary team in the delivery of person-centred care and support.
- Sound understanding of care assessment and provision within the Aged sector. Including SIRS.
- Demonstrated effective interpersonal and communication skills.
