We seek highly motivated compassionate Registered Nurse to join our dedicated team in providing exceptional quality care to elderly residents in our clients Aged Care facility.
We have Aged Care Providers, Hospitals of Choice for the community in Perth WA. Their mission is to provide quality services that are tailored to each individual’s needs while promoting independence, dignity and respect. You will be responsible for providing comprehensive nursing care to residents of their facility and to those patients in hospital.
Responsibilities:
- Provide direct nursing care to elderly residents following their care plans and medical needs.
- Assess residents’ health status, develop nursing care plans, and implement appropriate interventions.
- Administer medications, monitor vital signs, and provide wound care as required.
- Collaborate with a multidisciplinary team, including doctors, allied health professionals, and support staff, to coordinate and deliver comprehensive care.
- Maintain accurate and up-to-date documentation of residents’ health records, progress notes, and incident reports.
- Promote and maintain a safe and comfortable environment for residents, ensuring adherence to infection control protocols and safety guidelines.
- Educate residents and their families about health conditions, treatment options, and self-care techniques.
- Support and supervise care staff in delivering quality care and assist in their professional development.
- Participate in regular staff meetings, training programs, and quality improvement initiatives.
Qualifications and Skills:
- Current AHPRA Registration
- Minimum one year of experience working as a Registered Nurse, preferably in an Aged Care or geriatric setting.
- Solid understanding of Aged Care standards, regulations, and best practices.
- Ability to assess, plan, implement, and evaluate nursing care for elderly residents.
- Strong clinical skills, including medication administration, wound care, and health assessment.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills to effectively interact with residents, their families, and the care team.
- Empathy, compassion, and patience when working with elderly residents with complex health needs or cognitive impairments.
- Ability to work effectively in a team environment and independently.
- Proficiency in using electronic health record systems and other relevant software.
- Valid National Police Check
