Bendigo is located just 90 minutes from the Melbourne CBD making it a great place to live and work.Your role at St John of God Bendigo HospitalWe are currently seeking applications from suitably qualified, Registered Nurses to join our highly skilled and multi-disciplinary Oncology team. At the Oncology Ward we care for patients at all stages from diagnosis, to complex treatment and acute admissions. You will be responsible for the provision of comprehensive patient care and the coordination and supervision of care delivered by junior staff and students.If you are dynamic and flexible nurse, with outstanding communication skills and the ability to provide high-level patient care then we want to hear from you.Make a move and join our dedicated and supportive team in a clinically exciting theatre setting. Hours will be negotiated with successful candidate(s).The PositionThe overseeing of total patient care.Being aware of all patient's needs, conditions, and progress.Being in contact with patients throughout the shift.Ensuring all patient needs are met.Ensuring all nursing procedures are carried out in a safe manner.Regular attendance at relevant in-service education and appropriate study days external to hospital.Ensuring that the quality of work performed is of a high standardNot to interfere, bypass or misuse any system or equipment provided for health, safety and welfare purposes.Ensuring that new and junior staff are assisted with ward routines.You will have a registration with Nursing & Midwifery Board of Australia (AHPRA) as a Registered Nurse, a demonstrated commitment to quality patient care and satisfaction, along with well-developed interpersonal and relationship building skills. To succeed you will have the ability to work effectively and harmoniously within the multi-disciplinary health care team, with a commitment to ongoing education and professional development.
