Registered Nurse Day Surgery (Perioperative)

As one of our founding facilities, Camberwell Day Surgery boasts rich history whilst still designed to deliver excellence in patient care and meet the highest benchmark of quality standards. 

It is a purpose-built Day Surgery for ophthalmic surgery, complete with 2 busy theatres.  The facility is fully accredited and equipped with the latest ophthalmic technology. 

(Monday to Friday with no shift work and weekends). 

We're looking for experienced Perioperative Registered Nurses to join the highly experienced and passionate clinical support team in Scrub/Scout, Anaesthetics and Recovery, Patient admission and discharge.  

• Ability to provide high quality patient care
• Attentive and courteous to patients and medical staff
• Assist and guide staff in the use of specialized equipment and demonstrate clinical procedures as required
• Proactive approach whilst working collaboratively in a team orientated environment 

Qualifications and skills required:

• AHPRA registered with 2+ years theatre experience (preferably ophthalmic although not mandatory)
• Demonstrated knowledge of the Dept of Health Guidelines, Standards & Regulations, OHS, Infection Control and their impact on delivery of care
• Passionate team player focused on person-centred care
• Thrives in a fast paced, dynamic team environment. 
• Strong attention to detail, excellent communication skills and a commitment to quality, best practice and workplace safety.
