Position Summary
- Haematology nurses provide treatment and care for patients with haematological cancers including myelodysplastic syndromes, myeloproliferative disorders, aplastic anaemia, Hodgkin’s and non-Hodgkin’s lymphoma, multiple myeloma and plasma cell disorders.
- As a Registered Nurse at Peter Mac you are responsible for planning, implementing and evaluating evidence-based nursing care in collaboration with the multidisciplinary team to achieve optimal healthcare outcomes for patients.
- The Registered Nurse is a key member of the health care team responsible for ensuring nursing professional, organisational, legal and ethical standards are met. All nurses are supported to develop and grow, in line with Peter Mac’s values.
- The Registered Nurse is responsible for supervising and delegating to other health care professionals such as Enrolled Nurses and Registered Undergraduate Students of Nursing (RUSON).
