The Wesley Haemodialysis Unit is comprised of a 14 station unit that caters to Outpatient and Inpatients haemodialysis treatment for patients with end-stage renal disease. Haemodialysis support is also provided for patients dialysing in the surrounding region who require additional treatments, care or expertise i.e. first needling, vascular compromise, facilitation of complex medication/ adjunct chemotherapy.
The Unit is open Monday- Saturday with two shifts throughout the day.
We are currently seeking experienced Registered Nurses to join our Haemodialysis Unit.
As part of our Dialysis Unit, you will be accountable for the provision of safe and holistic care to individuals and their families, applying best clinical practice and ensuring a safe environment for optimal patient outcomes. You’ll deliver exceptional person-centred care by working collaboratively with your multidisciplinary team, applying exceptional communication and customer service skills.
What makes a difference for us?
- Minimum of 2 years’ experience in an acute care setting, 1 year ideally with Haemodialysis experience
- Bachelor of nursing degree or equivalent and AHPRA registration
- Commitment to patient safety and quality improvements
- Desire for ongoing professional development
- Availability to work across a fortnightly rotating and on-call roster
- Demonstrates application of the principles of clinical and workplace risk management.
- Applies sound clinical practice which ensures a safe environment and promotes optimal patient health.
- · Effectively exchanges information regarding patient responses to treatment and nursing care.
- · Achieves optimum patient care through effective collaboration with other health professionals and coordination of care.
- Comply with the UnitingCare Code of Conduct.
