This medium-sized Aged Care Facility has been proudly serving their local community for 30 years, with the goal of offering their residents as well as their staff a home away from home. Achieving this warm and welcoming environment relies on having an outstanding team. An exciting opportunity has become available for a passionate Registered Nurse to join their team in South Sydney.
About the Role:
Registered Nurses are an integral part of high-quality care provision and are required to supervise and inspire care workers to ensure excellence in care to the residents. To be successful in this role you will have the utmost respect, empathy and a passion for aged care. Some of the responsibilities will include:
- Providing quality resident-focused and clinical care
- Effectively supervising and leading a team of carers
- Undertake assessments, treatments and documentation to the highest standards
- Take an active role in getting to know the residents and families
Requirements:
- Current registration as a Registered Nurse with the Australian Health Practitioner Regulation Agency (AHPRA)
- 1 to 2 years’ experience working in Aged Care in Australia
- Proven skills in clinical care, clinical decision making and palliation
- Well-developed knowledge and experience in AN-ACC and the development of care plans
- Detailed knowledge of Aged Care accreditation standards, relevant legislation and continuous quality improvement
- Effective communication skills, both written and verbal + interpersonal & leadership skills
- Rights to work in Australia
