AddressThis position offers a secure working environment monitoring the health and well-being of persons in custody, along with responding to any emergencies that occur. Previous experience in custodial or corrective services is advantageous.
About you
The applicant must have excellent critical thinking and assessment skills and incident management experience. Must be extremely competent and empathetic. Should possess excellent communication skills including verbal and written and able to establish trusting bonds with all involved parties. The nurse needs be able to resilient and professional in a crisis. The applicant is required to assist patients in understanding their conditions, treatments, and prevention measures.
- AHPRA registered RN with no restrictions.
- 5+ years' recent Nursing experience.
- 2+ years' recent Mental Health Nursing Experience.
- Current NPC (Issued within last 3 months) or willing to obtain.
- Provide First Aid Certificate (current or willing to obtain).
- Current WA Working with Children (WWC).
- Current CPR certificate.
- Driver Licence.
- Ability to pass thorough background and integrity checks.
Desirable Requirements
- Recent ED, or correction services nursing experience highly desirable.
- Sound reasoning and clinical skills.
- Advanced Life Support (ALS) Certificate advantageous.
- MIMMS training.
- Trauma Nursing Core Course highly desirable.
