SUPPORT WOMEN IN THEIR JOURNEY TO HEAL - ALCOHOL AND OTHER DRUG CLINICAL TEAM:
Jarrah House is a small healthcare facility (alcohol and other drug rehabilitation) with mums and children living on-site. The Jarrah House staff includes counsellors, nurses, social workers, childcare workers and administrative staff. We provide holistic care and support to alcohol and other drug consumers in a peaceful residential setting on country which has long been known as a place of healing.
We operate 24x7 and our clients bring children from newborn to 5 years of age to stay with them. Up to 24 women and 6 children are living at Jarrah House at any time for their 10-week treatment program. THE ROLE:
The Registered Nurse works collaboratively with others to deliver excellence in clinical services and treatment outcomes. A key member of the service delivery team, the RN is responsible for supervising medicated and non-medicated detoxification programs, supporting opioid treatment programs, and coordinating the medical treatment and health education of clients (health and wellbeing related groups) to support their ongoing journey.
You will play a key role within the clinical team responsible for improving client outcomes, health and wellbeing goals, and collaborating with team members to deliver effective interventions for women in both an individual and group setting. Often operating as one of two on-site clinical staff, the RN supports the health care needs of Jarrah House residents, working alongside Counsellors and General Practitioners on overall therapeutic interventions.

KEY SELECTION CRITERIA:
Personal capacity to operate in a compassionate manner
Ability to effectively manage escalation
Understanding of, or interest in learning about, drug and alcohol nursing
Unrestricted registration as a Nurse (Division 1), General, on the AHPRA Register of Practitioners
