Applications are now open for the Coronary Care Unit.CCU works closely with the Cardiac Catheter lab, Cardiac Rehabilitation team and Cardiac Technicians, and has a cohesive and cooperative working relationship with our Cardiologists and Registrars. Acute Coronary Syndrome for angiography plus or minus intervention; arrhythmia's, heart failure and elective procedures in The Unit actively participates in research projects. CCU is committed to the training, education and support of its staff members, including cardiac implantable devices, cardioversion, and PCI.Duties:Under limited direction of CCU Clinical Nurse Consultant you will perform the following duties and any other duties within your scope of practice as directed: * Provide advanced nursing care consistently and competently to patients/clients of varying complexity, including:
- Incorporation of a risk assessment approach to practice, whilst working within the boundaries of professional legislation and existing policies and procedures.
- Acting as a role model, a core clinical resource person, and a source of expert nursing knowledge within the speciality based on:
- Comprehensive, contemporary specialised nursing knowledge
- Expertise and skills in the area of practice
- Understanding of legislative requirements
- The exercise of sound clinical judgement
