Level 2 position supporting the Clinical Nurse Manager in daily running of the theatre complex in the speciality of Orthopaedics
Part-Time position Monday - Friday with some on call arrangements
About you:
The Registered Nurse is responsible for providing safe, effective and appropriate patient care in a patient-focused environment. Provide key information about the role. You will be a Registered Nurse with an interest in theatre and specifically orthopaedic nursing. This is a Part-Time position Monday - Friday with some on call arrangements.
Key Responsibilities:
Provide Orthopaedic speciality support to the Theatre staff and VMO's which includes problem solving, strategic thinking, consultation and escalation as appropriate.
Provide education and support to staff within the complex, whilst supporting your Clinical Nurse Manager in the daily running of the Theatre complex.
As a holder of a speciality you will be a valuable resource for both the Clinical Nurse Manager and staff in the orthopaedic field
What you bring
Relevant experience in the Perioperative field with at least 2 years experience and an interest in Orthopaedic surgery.
AHPRA Registration
Demonstrated recent clinical experience in an acute care and/or hospital setting
Ability to work unsupervised, proficiently and in an organised manner during periods of high demand and activity
Demonstrated ability to work effectively as a member of a multidisciplinary team
Demonstrated communication, interpersonal skills and customer service skills
A desire to join a team committed to the care of others in a mission based organisation
