An opportunity to work within the Medical Imaging Department, staff are rostered Monday to Friday, 8 hour shifts with a variety of start times between 0730-0930, there is no weekend or night shift requirements. 

Roles vary depending on the area but can include first and second stage recovery, cannulation, administration of nitrous oxide, care of the sedated patients and assisting with minor procedures. All staff will be supported by our CNE to be competent in caring for all patients within each modality.

Part time and full time positions available.

What you'll be doing

The Registered Nurse provides safe, compassionate, person-centred care to patients and families of Sydney Children's Hospital Network.
The Registered Nurse acts as a role model by demonstrating behaviour and interacting with patients, their families and employees in a way that promotes a culture and standards that reflect the NSW Health CORE values of Collaboration, Openness , Respect and Empowerment.

  1. Current Authority to Practice as a Registered Nurse with the Australian Health Practitioner Regulation Agency (AHPRA).
  2. Demonstrated excellent verbal, written and interpersonal skills.
  3. Demonstrated ability to work effectively in a multidisciplinary team.
  4. Recent paediatric experience as a Registered Nurse in a hospital setting.
  5. Effective time management skills
  6. Computer literacy.

Acceptable proof of vaccination is the Australian Immunisation Register (AIR) Immunisation History Statement or AIR COVID-19 Digital Certificate. Booster doses are highly recommended for all health care workers who have completed the primary course of COVID-19 vaccinations.
