The Role:

We are currently seeking an experienced senior Registered Nurse to lead our Nursing Team on a Full-time, permanent basis to work in our Medical Imaging department (MMI).

Ideally, you will have experience working within a Medical Imaging practice or facility. Exposure to the following procedures would be considered an advantage, however training will be provided:

• CT Coronary Angiogram bookings and procedures
  
• Biopsies, core and deep tissue
  
• Nuclear Medicine services, including myocardial perfusion stress testing
  
• Porto Cath access
  
• Contrast administration
  
• Cannulation

Key Accountabilities for Senior Registered Nurse include:

• Provide clinical expertise and leadership to our dedicated team of Registered Nurses within the imaging department.
  
• Your clinical and leadership experience will drive excellence in clinical practice, foster a supportive team environment and contribute to continuous improvement of the care services provided.
  
• Contribute to the overall service provision in consultation and collaboration with inter-disciplinary imaging leads/seniors as well as hospital and MQ Health clinic staff.
  
• Maintains good customer relations in a way that acknowledges dignity, culture, values, beliefs and the rights of individuals and groups.
  
• Assists with completion of competency training, growth and development opportunities of self and others
  
• Adopts a consultative approach within a multi-disciplinary work environment whilst ensuring the patient's duty of care is fulfilled.
  
• Ensures timely, open and honest communication with all patients, carers, colleagues and stakeholders
  
• Manage and participate in audit preparation and auditing processes required within the imaging department
  
• Adheres to policies and procedures as well as legislation affecting nursing practice at all times
  
• Works within their scope of practice and practices professionally and ethically according to the aims, objectives and core values of MQ Health and as outlined by the National Practice Standards and Professional Code of Conduct by the Nursing and Midwifery Board of Australia.
  
• Participates in and contributes to occupational health and safety activities to ensure a safe work environment for clients, community, staff and visitors
  
• Complies with obligations under Work Health and Safety Act 2012
  
• Ensures that all documentation is accurate and completed in a professional and timely manner and in accordance with MQ Health Policy
  
• Participate in the identification, design and implementation of quality improvement activities, including policy review and development, self-initiated and directed by other members of MQ Health.
  
• Communicating with other health staff across clinics, hospitals and MQ Health.

• Clinical experience in radiology/ nuclear medicine nursing and experience in the provision of Medical Imaging services.
  
• Ability to use Radiology Information Systems (RIS) e.g. Comrad.

• Proven ability to prioritise and multitask in a fast-paced environment
