Sitting on Wheelers Lane, the Macquarie Inn brings country-style charm to everyone who steps through our doors. We have all the comforts you need to complement your stay in Dubbo, be it for business or leisure.
You'll be greeted with Australian warmth and character throughout the building with exposed beams, raked ceilings with cypress pine throughout, open fireplaces and wide verandas.
Take a seat in our spacious Bistro and experience our delicious food for yourself. Our menu takes inspiration from local surroundings while maintaining the quintessential Australian theme throughout. Along with our Bistro, we have two bars and a beer garden, perfect for toasting a drink while the sun goes down. We have a huge selection of ice cold beer on tap and well rounded lists of wine, cider and spirits available.

This is a brilliant opportunity to become a Head Chef.
As a Head Chef you will be responsible both for managing the operation of the kitchen, with accountability for the achievement of the kitchen's success and maximising business growth and sustainability opportunities by both fulfilling and building upon the Venue's guests food experiences.
What you'll do:
- Run the pass during busy service times to ensure the timely and accurate preparation of dishes to surpass guest expectations
- Menu planning, inventory management and food preparation
- Provide guidance and mentorship to the kitchen team, fostering a positive and productive working environment
- Create and manage staff rosters
- Manage food safety and ensure adherence to compliance and safety standards
What you'll need:
- Previous experience working as a Head Chef or similar role in a high-volume establishment
- Ability to lead effective teams and build a positive culture
- Extensive knowledge of culinary techniques, ingredients, and kitchen equipment
- Operational experience to achieve financial and business targets
- Trade Cooking qualifications
- The desire to be part of a fun, productive and professional team
