As GenesisCare enters another exciting growth phase in Sydney we are thrilled to announce that we are recruiting for our brand-new Oncology Clinic set to open in Campbelltown in early 2024.
The integrated cancer centre which is expected to open in early 2024 and will offer access to radiation therapy, chemotherapy, immunotherapy, haematology, clinical trials, allied health care services, and the future plan includes seeking to open a theranostics service.
The building is designed with the aim of being one of the first 6-star health centres in Australia and includes a wellness pavilion on the top floor.
As such we are looking for motivated, experienced Medical Oncology Nurses to join our team. The primary purpose of the Oncology Registered Nurse is to provide clinical care, education and support the delivery of exceptional patient experience by responding to patient needs as part of a multidisciplinary team to deliver high quality care.
More specifically you will:
- Provide comprehensive care to the patients at GenesisCare following the principles of evidenced based best practice
- Bring a positive, enthusiastic and 'can-do' attitude to work
- Give support and direction to less senior registered nursing colleagues and student nurses where applicable
- Assesses and plans nursing care for the patient using GenesisCare templates
- Provides comprehensive patient education as per GenesisCare policy and procedure
- Administration of medications as per GenesisCare policy and procedure
- Establishes a compassionate environment by providing emotional, psychological and spiritual support to patients, family and friends

We're interested in hearing from people who have:
- Current and unrestricted registration as a Registered Nurse with AHPRA
- Experience administering Chemotherapy, Immunotherapy and blood product protocols
- Have completed the ADAC training.
- IV and CVAD competency.
- Demonstrated interpersonal and communication skills with an ability to demonstrate empathy for patients and their carers
- Demonstrated effective time management skills and ability to prioritise competing workloads with in a complex environment
- Commitment to and involvement in the application of quality improvement and evidence-based practice principles
- Demonstrated ability to work collaboratively as a team member
