What you'll be doing:
An amazing opportunity is now available for Registered Nurses to join the team in the Medical Ward, located at Nepean Hospital. These roles are located in the brand new tower building and are available in both Permanent Full time and Part time positions.
Your role as the Registered Nurse will see you work collaboratively to provide safe, compassionate, person-centred health care in collaboration with patients, families, carers and multidisciplinary teams. At all times you will act as an advocate to assist patients/clients, families and carers, make informed decisions in relation to their Health Care needs, treating them with respect and responding to their needs.
This position will see you demonstrate behaviours and interacting with patients/ clients, their families/carers and colleagues that reflect NSW Health CORE Values of Collaboration, Openness, Respect and Empowerment and at all times maintain clear, concise contemporaneous patient clients / records that meet legislative requirement to ensure continuity of safe patient care.

Acceptable proof of vaccination is the Australian Immunisation Register (AIR) Immunisation History Statement or AIR COVID-19 Digital Certificate. Booster doses are highly recommended for all health care workers who have completed the primary course of COVID-19 vaccinations.
Employment of a temporary visa holder may only occur if no suitable permanent resident or citizen of Australia has been identified and must not exceed the duration or conditions associated with the current visa.
Selection criteria to be addressed: * Current registration to practice as a Registered Nurse (Division 1) with the Australian Health Practitioner Regulation Authority (AHPRA)

• Demonstrated experience and clinical skill as a Registered Nurse (including completion of a new graduate year or equivalent experience working as a registered Nurse).
• Demonstrated capacity to provide effective nursing care that is person centred, family inclusive and culturally sensitive to people accessing health services.
• Demonstrated ability to organise and prioritise work
• Demonstrated effective communications written and verbal skills
• Demonstrated commitment to professional development
• Ability to work effectively within a multi-disciplinary team
• Ability to work a flexible roster, day evening or night shift across all days of the week.
