Knox Private Hospital is looking to employ Registered Nurses to join their busy Cardiac/Cardiothoracic unit on a permanent, full time and part time basis. We have a 24/7 Emergency Department, covering a full range of medical and surgical specialty areas, including highly complex surgeries. Backed by the latest technology and expertise, we offer 15 theatres, including a hybrid theatre, diagnostic cardiology, two cardiac cath labs and capabilities for cardiothoracic surgery, orthopaedics, neurosurgery, urology and more. All supported by a soon to be expanded coronary care unit and intensive care unit. Exciting new expansion for Knox Private Hospital Work is well underway on a major expansion of Knox Private Hospital that will help us continue to meet the growing demand for quality health care across Melbourne's east. The new multi-million-dollar expansion will help Knox Private deliver an expanded and enhanced service offering for our patients and will further cement our reputation as a world-class healthcare facility. 2023/2024 Expansion Project includes: Three story North Tower with two wards (60 beds), upgrade to Knox Heart Centre (our non-invasive diagnostic cardiology), both recently commissioned, upgrade and increase in ICU and CCU beds, 16 chair renal dialysis unit and Specialist Consulting Suites Tandarah is a 28 Bed, Cardio Thoracic ward caring for post op CAGS/Valves, Cardiac Angiography and PPMs. You will also be caring for post op VATS and other forms of thoracic surgery along with cardio thoracic medical conditions. Supported by an education team, we provide ongoing training and development, including post graduate education and advanced practice courses. As a Registered Nurse on the cardiothoracic/cardiac ward, your responsibilities will include:Undertake peri-operative nursing care in accordance with legislationDeliver evidence based nursing careLiaise with the multi-disciplinary teamEnsure patient and staff safetySupervise, direct and guide nursing team members; Enrolled Nurses (ENs) and (AINs) to deliver patient careProactively assess the perioperative nursing care provided to ensure the best possible outcome is achieved for the individual / patientComplete all required documentation in accordance with local and National PoliciesEssential Criteria:Current Registration with AHPRA with a minimum 2 years' experienceExperience in an acute hospital setting, ideally in a cardiac wardCompliance with ACQSHC National standardsCommitment to quality patient careWorks independently and within a teamExceptional time management and organisational skillsExcellent interpersonal and communication skillsStrong problem solving and analytical skillsWhy Healthscope?
