 This is for Casual, Fixed Term and Permanent appointments at various hours per fortnight, with the possibility of extension(s) and/or permanency

 Opportunities exists for talented and enthusiastic Registered Nurses to join the North Midlands Health Service Team in the Midwest.

To be successful, you will have...

  • Demonstrated competent nursing practice, within the inpatient, residential aged care and emergency settings.
  • Demonstrated competence in planning, coordination and decision making in the management of consumers within the relevant practice setting.
  • Demonstrated ability to function as a team leader and team member.
  • Demonstrated effective communication (written and verbal) and interpersonal skills.
  • Demonstrates incorporation of quality improvement and risk management within practice.

Position Profile:

The primary responsibility of the Registered Nurse is to Provide nursing care for consumers within the scope of practice of a Registered Nurse. Provides clinical supervision for Enrolled Nurses, Personal Care Aides and students.

The Country Nursing & Midwifery incentive program is available to new and existing nurses and midwives - across a broad range of patient-facing roles - on fixed term or permanent contracts at 76 select locations. Eligible nurses and midwives can receive between $5,000 and $17,000 in support over 12 months (WA Country Health Service - Country Nursing and Midwifery Incentive Program).

Area Profile

The WA Country Health Service (WACHS) Midwest health region of Western Australia covers more than 470,000 square kilometres, nearly one fifth of the State, with its population concentrated along the coast. The region is located in the northern middle section of Western Australia and incorporates three health districts - Gascoyne, Geraldton, Midwest and Murchison, is recognised for its unique natural environment and is a culturally diverse region with Aboriginal people representing 13% of the overall population.
